PETALING JAYA SERIES: Tropicana Indah

Tropicana Indah, also known as Tropicana Indah Resort Homes, and formerly Damansara Indah Resort Homes is an upmarket enclave located next to Tropicana and in the heart of Petaling Jaya. It neighbours with most of the affluent districts in Petaling Jaya, namely Kota Damansara, Sunway Damansara, Bandar Utama, Damansara Idaman and Mutiara Damansara.

Tropicana Indah was first launched in 1995. It was a joint venture between Tropicana Corp (formerly Dijaya Corp) and Selangor State Development Corp. 

Today, Tropicana Indah is a 625-acre mixed development currently containing 497 bungalow lots; over 3,800 residential units comprising semi-detached homes, linked houses, townhouses, condominiums and apartments, a business park and smart schools; an 18-hole Seri Selangor Golf Course; and 881,597 sq ft of commercial space.

Along Persiaran Damansara Indah, there are pockets of small luxury landed residential communities in Tropicana Indah. There are bungalows and semi-detacheds along Jalan PJU 3/15, 3/15a, and 3/15b. There are also bungalow-only communities along Jalan PJU 3/17, 3/17a, 3/17b, and 3/19. 

Villa Greens (also known as Green Villas) comprises 350 semi-detached houses. It is located along Jalan PJU 3/12, 3/12a to 3/12h, 3/15, and 3/15a to 3/15b which are collections of bungalows and semi-detacheds with built-ups ranging from 4,000 sq ft to 10,500 sq ft, and 10,500 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft for bungalow lands. 

Villa Green Super 3-storey Fairway Villas was launched in 2006. They are 3-storey, super semi-detached properties with a built-up area of 6,200 square feet each. There are 52 units in the Fairway Villas. It is part of a larger parcel of 86 units in Villa Greens. 

Pool Villas was launched in 2010. Pool Villas consists of 54 units of 3-storey semi-detached homes with built-up areas ranging from 5,812 to 7,345 sq ft. It is located along Jalan PJU 3/12, 3/12G and 3/12h.

Grand Villas which was also launched in 2010, spreads over 3.46 acres of leasehold land. It comprises 12 units of 2- and 3-storey bungalows, with built-up areas ranging from 8,200 to 9,000 sq ft. It is next to Green Haven, along Jalan PJU 3/16b.

Green Haven (also known as Green Heaven) is a resort-like bungalows enclave nestled within the exclusive Seri Selangor Golf Club course. There are 2 types of development here in Green Haven; the first is named Green Haven, which consists of individually designed bungalows, while another is called Green Haven Resort Villa 1 that comprises of double storey resort bungalows. 

Green Haven was launched in 2006 and sold by land parcel whereby owners are free to design and build their dream home. There are a total of 71 units with sizes ranging from 7,900 sq ft to 21,000 sq ft. 

Meanwhile, there are a total of 41 units for Green Haven Resort Villas 1. This development was launched in December 2002. It is located along Jalan PJU 3/16, 3/16b, and 3/16c.

Golf Villas comprises of 12 exclusive three-storey zero-lot bungalows with build-up area ranging from 7,079 square feet to 9,310 square feet. It is located along Persiaran Damansara Indah. This development was completed in 2014.

The single-storeys and double-storeys are in Tropicana Indah are located along Jalan PJU 3/18s and 3/20s. They are the Adam/Eve single storey linked house, Mustika/Pesona double storey linked house, and Romeo/Juliet double storey linked houses.  There is also a single row of semi-ds along Jalan PJU 3/20f.

Casa Indah 1 and 2 Condominiums are located along Persiaran Surian. Casa Indah 1 was completed in 2006. Casa Indah 1 comprises 498 units housed in two 20-storey blocks and two 3-storey blocks on 5.62-acre leasehold land. Casa Indah 2 comprises of two 26-storey blocks (Block A and B) and two 5-storey blocks (Block C & D), which were completed in 2008.

ACCESSIBILITY AND LOCATION

If you drive through Tropicana Indah, it’s former street name still stands as reference to it’s beginnings – Persiaran Damansara Indah. Tropicana Indah is located off Persiaran Damansara Indah.

Tropicana Indah is surrounded by a large selection of amenities and attractions. A cluster of restaurants and cafes are located along the Persiaran Tropicana, less than 1 km away. Residents can enjoy dining out at he nearby local eateries and restaurants in Tropicana Avenue. 

Several schools are located nearby, such as St. Joseph’s International School, SJKC Damansara, SMK Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara and SK Tropicana. 

Other amenities such as supermarkets, clinics, cash points can all be found in the vicinity. Residents can also head over to Tropicana Avenue, Tropicana Gardens Mall, Sunway Giza in Kota Damansara, and The Curve, IKEA, or Tesco in Mutiara Damansara for a greater selection of retail outlets, cinemas, and other facilities and attractions. 

Tropicana Indah is also highly accessible by various transport routes. Surian MRT, Kota Damansara MRT, and Bandar Utama LRT3 are the closest train station, located just under 1km. A line of bus stops are also situated along Persiaran Damansara Indah. 

Additionally, Tropicana Indah is located just off the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), linking the estate to the rest of Klang Valley. SPRINT Highway and the North South Expressway are both easily accessible from Tropicana Indah, ensuring a quick and efficient travel time to Kuala Lumpur’s city centre as well as other neighbouring towns and districts.
